Executive Summary
Sutanu is a Partner with the Business Restructuring practice at BDO India and is a registered Insolvency Professional. Prior to joining BDO India, he had 30 years of corporate experience in both multinationals like Brooke Bond as well as PSUs like IBP, etc as well as Statutory bodies like ICSI.
He received a Cambridge University scholarship to attend the Sustainable Business Leadership Development Program and is trained by IFC, World Bank on Directors Development and Training programs.
Sutanu was the Chief Executive of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He was the Director of Canara Bank from 2011 to 2014 and chaired the Audit Committee of the Bank.
He was the first member of the Independent Evaluation Committee (IEC) constituted by IBA under the direction of the Reserve Bank of India to evaluate all restructuring proposals having a financial impact of INR 500cr or more in India.
