The Global Tax Chronicle- February 2021

26 February 2021

The Global Tax Services (GTS) team at BDO in India is pleased to present ‘The Global Tax Chronicle’ - A quarterly summary of global tax trends and compliances. Each edition of the chronicle will deliver an international perspective on critical tax developments across the domains of direct & indirect taxation and transfer pricing.

A unique section would spotlight a different country in each edition, elaborating on significant tax regulations in that jurisdiction. The publication will also be supplemented with a compliance calendar highlighting key global tax compliances from a business perspective.

Edition 2, Country in focus: The UK

The UK has always been an attractive destination for international businesses because of the benefits and thriving ecosystem it offers. The country is likely to retain this attractiveness even in a post Brexit world.  In terms of the Doing Business 2020 ratings, which compares business regulations in 190 economies, the UK ranks 8th. This edition of The Global Tax Chronicle sheds light on the necessary compliances that businesses need to be mindful of while doing business within the UK.
