CYBERSECURITY PRIORITIES AND BUSINESS IMPLICATIONS IN A POST COVID WORLD

28 April 2021

It’s been over a year since the world first grappled with the outrageous spread of the Corona Virus and as we brace against the gigantic second wave, we look forward to a more promising future with the vaccination drive taking momentum across the country.

While the impositions of lockdowns and restrictions on physical movements gradually relaxed to pave way for economic recovery, remote operations that had been the immediate resort for businesses at the time, continues to remain the sole means of operations for most businesses today.

While the pandemic acted as a catalyst to the impending digital transformation, the immediate transition to remote operations attempted to safeguard employee health and well-being; however, the sudden shift found many organisations at the centre of cyberattacks and data breaches.

To understand the implications of the rising cyberattacks and future cyber strategies to control risks, BDO India and The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) conducted a study on the impact of COVID-19 on Cybersecurity Priorities and their Business Implications. The post-study analysis report highlights significant insights from the study coupled with expert views on the subject.
