Our approach to business continuity during the uncertainty through COVID-19

As the novel Corona Virus continues to spread across India and the globe, we hope this message finds you and your family well.  At BDO India, we prioritise matters of health and safety with great concern; the well-being of our people - employees, families, clients and other stakeholders is of utmost importance to us.

As a global organisation, we recognise both the seriousness of the situation and our responsibility to do all that we can, to minimise the risk of it spreading. We remain vigilant on our social commitment to help arrest the escalation of this emergency as much as aiding in spreading awareness about it, to address the growing panic.

We’re urging all our stakeholders both internal and external, to practice social distancing and have taken firmwide measures through spelling caution on travel, meetings & conferences, events & gatherings and work-space hygiene, including standard safety precautions.

In recognition of this, BDO India teams & staff would be working remotely w.e.f. from 17 March 2020 until further notice, dependent on how our environment and communities are responding to the pandemic.

We’ve assembled a cross-disciplinary team, to monitor the situation continuously and suggest measures to ensure both, the safety for our people and business continuity for our clients.

We have always been at the forefront of using technology to drive daily business; with fully equipped digital infrastructure to continue working remotely and securely with uninterrupted service, the firm assures to deliver the level of quality, excellence and timeliness you are accustomed to receiving from us.

We are fully equipped to handle professional interactions and carry out engagement implementations remotely, to ensure continuity with business operations and deliver the quality of client service you expect from us.

Client confidentiality remains core to our servicing and is an underlying assurance to all,  irrespective of working modalities. We shall be physically available at our offices or yours, should the business need demand it or if you need any support.

We believe that limiting physical exposure would help us pin priority to health and safety as we continue to focus on business continuity for all our stakeholders.

Here’s hoping that you and your families continue to remain well

Our approach to employee health and safety through COVID-19

With the surge in the number of cases of the COVID-19 virus being reported across the country, we would like to let you know our preparedness in responding to the situation and how we are attempting to monitor developments closely, at each office location in every city.

We have undertaken various precautionary measures bespoke to the impact of the virus in each of BDO India’s office locations.

  1. All official travel remains suspended until further communication.
  2. Our IT infrastructure is braced to support agile working
  3. Business continuity planning and response teams are active, to ensure minimal impact on client deliverables
  4. Our employees on all offshore projects and international secondments are given to choose, how they wish to chart their travel course (back home or staying put)
  5. HR and admin teams are working to ensure safe office spaces through various health & hygiene measures

We hope some of these actions will enable us to continue to foremost take care of ourselves and our families, and then deliver the level of quality, excellence and timeliness to our clients, as committed.
